Fresh Market Conference 2008

Fresh Market is held in Europe in the center of Poland

On 19 September 2008 the Conference Fresh Market 2008 was held at Mazurkas Conference Centre in Ożarów Mazowiecki. 260 participants took part in the meeting.

They established new trade relations. In many cases they were able for the first time to meet face to face with representatives of trading chains, the processing plants and trading companies.

The event was so successful that the meetings in Merchant Trade Centre (KCH) were carried long after the formal part was closed. Representatives of distribution chains were talking long to meet the large number of suppliers.

During the conference the Matchmaker was used to help companies to meet and to talk also outside the agreed time schedule. Such innovative format of the fair was offered to Polish suppliers and merchants for the first time and was accepted very well. Many participants declared desire to participate in the Fresh Market conference in the future.

The commercial part was accompanied by lectures prepared and given by the most outstanding specialists in production and trade of fresh fruit and vegetables sector. In their addresses they were presenting summary of current season and forecast on Polish and European market.

Fresh Market conference is a proposal of organizers for the consolidation of the sector – effective meeting of buyers with producers of fruit and vegetables from whole Poland. About 120 companies were present during Fresh Market 2008. Among others there were guests from Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Great Britain.
