On 16 April 2024 we organises pot plants course for supermarket and DIY stores buyers. Course conducted by Lucas Jansen was focused again on trade, quality and assortment of pot plants + insights about category management and presentation of products on shop floor. The venue for this inspiring seminar was Lord Hotel in Warsaw.

Representatives from well-known retail chains such as Netto, OBI, Leroy Merlin, Żabka, Dino, PSB Mrówka and Arhelan participated in the training and received a certificate recognised by the VGB (the Dutch flower and plant wholesale association).

The training focused on sharing knowledge about the correct naming of plants, their characteristics, appropriate transportation to stores, and effective display arrangements.

With the category of potted plants rapidly expanding in Polish retail, Lucas Jansen expertise was highly valued and warmly received. Notably, this marks Lucas’s second training session in Poland, with the topic of potted plants being suggested by the retail chains themselves! We eagerly anticipate seeing the results of this training reflected in stores, showcasing a diverse and stunning selection of plants on the shelves!

The training day for participants started with an official welcome by the organisers and a presentation by David van Holsteijn from the Dutch company Green Solutions – our main partner and sponsor of the event. Second presentation before main programme was carried by Anna Malcużyńska from SIGMA International who represented our another event sponsor Kalanchoe.nl. Then, presenter Lucas Jansen led the buyers in turn through the various segments of the training such as nomenclature, assortment, characteristics and specifications of pot plants, factors affecting quality at all stages of the chain, pre-treatment or waste reduction.
