Fresh Market 2025 – the 19th edition of the largest B2B meeting of the fruit, vegetable and flower industry in Central and Eastern Europe
On September 17, 2025, the 19th edition of Fresh Market – the most important B2B event of the fresh fruit, vegetable and flower industry in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe – was held at the MCC Mazurkas Hotel in Ozarow Mazowiecki.
The event was attended by more than 350 participants from more than a dozen countries, including manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, packaging and logistics companies and buyers from the region’s largest retailers.
A formula that brings the industry together
Fresh Market has for years distinguished itself with a unique organizational concept that inverts the traditional trade fair model – it is the retail chains that occupy the main stands, while suppliers approach them for individual 10-minute business meetings.
With this formula, hundreds of conversations take place in a single day with decision-makers responsible for purchasing at retail chains in Poland and abroad. This is where the most important business relationships and contracts for the supply of fresh products to stores throughout the region are born.
Sponsors and partners
Fresh Market 2025 was held with the support of four major sponsors – companies that have been actively supporting the development of the fruit, vegetable and flower industry in Poland and Europe.
Redpack Packaging Machinery (UK) – a manufacturer of state-of-the-art flow-pack machines that are used in the fresh produce sector worldwide. The company has been on the market for several decades and provides tailor-made solutions for packaging automation.
Sinclair International (UK) – a world leader in fruit and vegetable labeling. For more than 40 years, it has offered innovative, eco-friendly and compostable labels and rapid application systems that support the sustainability and efficiency of the fresh produce industry.
PIK Global Europe – a multinational trader and distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables, supplying top quality products to retail chains and wholesalers throughout Europe. The sponsor supported the event as part of the promotion of its export offer aimed at the Polish market.
FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 (Germany) – the world’s largest trade fair for the fruit and vegetable industry, held annually in Berlin. As a sponsor of Fresh Market 2025, Fruit Logistica supported the event as part of a partnership to promote the exchange of experience, contacts and best practices in international trade.
Sponsors had the opportunity to present their products, technologies and services in the Exhibitors’ Zone, as well as actively participate in the networking section, supporting the entire event with content and promotion.
Exhibitors and Distributors Zone
One of the key elements of Fresh Market 2025 was the Exhibitors and Distributors Zone, which – in addition to talks with retail chains – provided an excellent space for presenting products, networking and exchanging experiences in an international setting.
The Exhibitors’ Zone showcased their products and solutions, as well as those from many other countries in Europe and the Mediterranean region. Attendees were able to see the latest offerings in fresh fruits and vegetables, innovative packaging, packaging machinery, refrigeration systems, logistics and certification services.
Exhibitors represented both established international brands, as well as smaller, rapidly growing companies that are just beginning to expand into the Central and Eastern European market.
Equally important was the Distributors’ Zone, which brought together the largest importers, exporters and wholesalers from all over Poland – from its various regions, as well as representatives of companies from neighboring countries such as Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Germany and Belarus. It was there that suppliers were able to meet directly with those in charge of purchasing and importing, present their offer, and often start specific trade negotiations.
For many participants, especially foreign manufacturers from more distant countries such as Egypt, Turkey and Morocco, it was an extremely valuable opportunity to learn about distribution structures in the Polish and Central European markets, as well as to network with importers who can introduce their products to Poland and CEE countries.
The atmosphere in both zones was dynamic and conducive to conversations – from the first hours of the event there was an intense exchange of business cards, presentations and plans for cooperation. It is these contacts, often made for the first time during Fresh Market, that become the starting point for long-term business relationships.
Fresh Market Award 2025 – fierce competition and innovative products
As every year, the Fresh Market Award competition was one of the most exciting moments of the event. Companies from Poland and abroad competed with great dedication for the title of the most innovative product of the year, and participants had the opportunity to taste and evaluate the new products submitted. The atmosphere was exceptionally heated – each exhibitor tried to convince guests of their product, presenting its taste, utility and benefits for consumers.
In this year’s edition, the following products and solutions qualified for the competition:
-
Sinclair T55 Certified Home and Industrial Compostable Fruit Label – a new generation fully compostable fruit label that is environmentally friendly and suitable for high-speed labeling.
-
Sweetloom F1 (Yuksel Seeds) – a heirloom tomato with intense color and rich flavor, distinguished by its durability and high fruit quality.
-
Watermelon Exotica – Seedless (Hazera Seeds) – a mini seedless watermelon with exceptional flavor and post-harvest shelf life, ideal for retail.

The competition for participants’ votes was extremely close – each of the products represented a high level of innovation, quality and market relevance.
Fresh Market Award 2025 winners
The culminating moment of the event was the announcement of the results of the Fresh Market Award 2025, which, as every year, aroused great excitement among participants and exhibitors. After intense competition and voting by retail chain buyers, the winners of this year’s edition were selected.
🏆 1 st place – Hazera Seeds for its seedless Exotica watermelon, which impressed participants with its unique flavor, practical size and excellent post-harvest shelf life.
🥈 2nd place – Juxel Seeds for its Sweet Lume F1 Hair Lume tomato, distinguished by its sweetness, beautiful color and high fruit quality.
🥉 Third place – Sinclair International for its Etiquette T55 Compostable label, exemplifying a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to fresh produce packaging.
During the results announcement ceremony, the winners received statuettes from the hands of the organizers, in the presence of representatives of retail chains, and their products received a lot of attention from merchants and trade media.
The competition once again proved that the Fresh Market Award has become an important benchmark for producers, distributors and retail chains that set the direction of development in the fresh fruit and vegetable industry.
Meetings with retail chains – the heart of Fresh Market 2025
It is this part of the event that attracts the most participants every year – the moment when retailers and suppliers from all over Europe meet in one place. The most important and eagerly awaited part of Fresh Market 2025 was the meetings with retail chains – this is the essence of the entire event and the main reason why hundreds of producers and exporters from Poland and abroad come to Fresh Market every year.
This is the only such event of the year, during which you can personally meet with buyers responsible for purchasing fruits, vegetables and flowers in the largest retail chains in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.
More than 50 merchants representing more than 20 retail chains from Poland and abroad participated in this year’s talks, making Fresh Market 2025 the most effective platform for suppliers to connect with retailers.
The chains present included:
Arhelan (Poland), Auchan (Poland), Albert (Czech Republic), Biedronka (Poland), Billa CEE (Central and Eastern Europe), Bingo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Carrefour (Poland), Dino (Poland), Frac (Poland), Dionis (Belarus), Nasz Sklep (Poland), Profi (Romania), Polomarket (Poland), Rohlik.cz (Czech Republic), Stokrotka (Poland), Topaz (Poland), Varus (Ukraine), ATB (Ukraine), Spar (Poland), Żabka (Poland), Intermarché (Poland), Selgros (Poland) and Dobronom (Belarus), as well as E.Leclerc(Poland).
Participants were able to take part in individual meetings of several minutes with selected merchants, present their products to them, discuss cooperation opportunities and learn about the expectations of individual networks towards suppliers.
For many companies – especially those coming from abroad – the opportunity to directly contact network decision-makers was the most valuable experience and a chance to enter the Polish market or expand existing cooperation.
Fresh Market is a unique space where, in one day, producers, distributors and buyers from different countries come together face-to-face to build relationships that shape the future of fruit and vegetable trade throughout the region.
